In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five news and magazine applications in Latin America demonstrated varying performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. The data provided by Sensor Tower offers a comprehensive overview of these trends.

Opera News: breaking & local saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from 92.1K in late September and rising to 195.7K by the end of December. The app also experienced growth in weekly active users, from 524.1K to 632.7K over the same period.

Koo: Know What's Happening! had a notable spike in weekly downloads mid-November, reaching 650.6K, but this number declined sharply to 11.7K by the end of December. Similarly, weekly active users peaked at 561.9K in mid-November and then decreased to 119.6K by the end of the quarter.

G1 Portal de Notícias da Globo experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a high of 187.2K at the start of Q4 and a low of 12.2K in mid-November. Active users also showed variability, peaking at 1.27M in late September and stabilizing around 975.3K by the end of December.

Breaking News: Local & Alerts had a significant increase in weekly downloads, reaching 108.2K at the end of October, before settling at 37.6K by the end of December.
